About us
The International Biological Station (EBI) was established in 2002 with the support of three European universities and in 2006 it was oficially ratified by the Foreign Ministers of Spain and Portugal. Its research and conservation projects of habitats and species are financed through its ENVIRONMENTAL CRUISES. Among other recognitions, the EBI has received the 1st National Tourism Award and the Congressional Medal of Merit in Portugal and the Ecoinnova Award in Spain.
Where we are
The environmental cruises and EBI activities take place mainly in the 4 natural parks of the UNESCO RESERVE “MESETA IBÉRICA”: Sanabria Lake, Montesinho, Douro International and Arribes del Duero.
OUR CRUISESThe Cruises are carried out throughout the year, according to the calendar-guide and the extraordinary departures published online. We recommend acquiring your ONLINE TICKETS to avoid waiting and guarantee not to run out of places. You can also take them out without reservation at BOARDING OFFICES open from 1 hour before each departure.
Groups Special
With a minimum of 20 adults, you can arrange special programs with alternative tours, lunches and complementary activities in the Reserve's parks. SEE EXAMPLE

The EBI has land facilities in Spain and Portugal for families and small VIP groups with piers, heliport, electric 4x4 vehicles and specialized guides in the “Meseta Ibérica” Biosphere Reserve.
