To access the EBI Environmental Cruises in International Douro and Sanabria Lake, the use of the car is recommended, although it is also possible to arrive from the AVE Train stations in Zamora and Puebla de Sanabria, completing the journey through a taxi or rental vehicle.

OUR ENVIRONMENT

The environmental cruises and EBI activities take place mainly in the 4 natural parks of the UNESCO RESERVE “MESETA IBÉRICA”: Sanabria Lake, Montesinho, Douro International and Arribes del Duero. Here you can consult the accommodation, restaurants and other resources of the main cities and towns in your cross-border environment:

Miranda Do Douro

Ancient fortified city from which our Environmental Cruise departs in ARRIBES DEL DUERO. It has a unique historical center, excellent gastronomy, a great variety of shops and the second official language of Portugal, the Mirandés.

Zamora

Romanesque city par excellence, whose historic center rises majestically over the Douro River. It is also part of the exclusive group of municipalities that belong to the European Route of Modernism.

Puebla de Sanabria

Very close to our Environmental Cruise on SANABRIA LAKE, it is listed as one of the Most Beautiful Towns in Spain. It has large noble buildings and is beautifully guarded by the Castle of the Counts of Benavente.

Fermoselle

Considered the town of 1.000 cellars, it was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1974. Its Park Interpretation Center and its proximity to the EBI Cruise in Miranda do Douro, make it one of the most visited places in the Reserve.

Salamanca

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the oldest university cities in Europe and a splendid example of the Renaissance in Spain. It is the most important of the Reserve and its closest Environmental Cruise is that of Miranda do Douro.

Bragança

Historical capital of the Portuguese region of Trás-os-Montes, it has a walled citadel erected by Afonso Henriques, the first king of Portugal. It is a few kilometers from the border with Spain and its Environmental Cruise on SANABRIA LAKE.
